Council

How
to find the Leicester & Leicestershire Racial Equality Council
The LLREC
Offices occupy the third floor of Epic House, a 10-storey building situated
in central Leicester, conveniently placed for access by public transport
or by car. There is ample parking nearby in Lee Circle, both in the NCP
Multi-Storey Car Park and on-street (metered up until 6.00 p.m.). When
you reach our entrance on the 3rd Floor, please press the buzzer and identify
yourself, when requested, via the intercom.
For disabled
access, there is a ramp into the building foyer, where the lift is located.
Should you have any problems or require assistance, please use the intercom
which you will find by the main door.
Arriving
by rail ?
It's a 10-15
minute walk from the station, down Charles Street, as shown on the map.
If you wish to take a taxi, there are almost always plenty of these in
the Station forecourt.
Arriving
by bus ?
Leicester
has two main bus stations. The Charles Street Bus Station is only a few
steps away from Epic House (see map). Local and some regional buses come
in to Charles Street. The St Margaret's Bus Station (regional & coach)
is just a few minutes walk away from Epic House (map). There is a taxi
rank close by.
Arriving
by car ?
Leicester
has a Central Ring Road, which you can reach from the various roads leading
into the City If your entry point to this Central Ring Road requires
you to go round it in a clockwise direction, then you will take the slip
road off Burley's way as you approach the flyover, head down Belgrave Gate,
turn L into Jubilee St (sign for Lee Circle Car Park), R into Byrom St
- you are there.
If heading
anti-clockwise on the Central Ring Road, then exit St Matthew's Way into
Dryden St (as flyover approaches) & take first allowable R into Lee
Circle.
The
Lee Circle NCP charges £2.40 for the first 2 hours, increasing (Blue Circle)
or £3 fixed charge (Red Circle).
From the
northbound M1 J20, take the Outer Ring until you meet the A50, then take
a L towards the City Centre. From southbound M1 J 21 take the A50 towards
the City. In either case, you meet up with the Central Ring Road in due
course.
